Katherine Carlton partners with landlords and retailers to create merchandising, leasing, and expansion strategies that shape thoughtful retail destinations. Her experience spans urban mixed-use projects, lifestyle centers, and high-growth suburban developments, helping clients navigate complex real estate strategies from concept through execution.
On the landlord side, Katherine’s primary specialty is the leasing and merchandising of highly curated ground-up retail destinations, while also advising ownership teams on the repositioning and enhancement of existing assets through strategic leasing initiatives. She is currently involved in the leasing of several thoughtfully positioned retail developments, working alongside ownership teams to merchandise and position destinations such as Twin Oaks and Sixth & Walsh in Austin, TX, The Plaza at Spring Creek in Plano, TX, and Monterey Village in Dublin, Ohio. Her past project experience includes Stream’s QUAD redevelopment, QIP’s Design District portfolio, and the repositioning of West Village in Dallas, TX.
Katherine also represents a diverse roster of national, regional, and emerging brands, advising clients on market strategy, site selection, and expansion. Select tenant clients include Hart Jewelry, Homebody Studios, Pura Vida, Face Foundrie, Sweathouz, Beyond Yoga, and Park Lights Hospitality.
She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate Finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Outside of work, Katherine enjoys exploring Dallas’s restaurant scene, trying new workout classes, and spending time with her family and her golden retriever.
